Baccarat is a casino card game where you can either bet on the players
hand, the bankers hand or a tie. You have no input into the cards
being dealt so it is a very easy game to learn.
Card Values
The game is played with standard playing cards and no jokers. All
cards have their face value with the exception of jacks, queens
and kings which have the value of zero and aces which are worth
1.
The highest possible baccarat hand is 9. If the hand goes over 9
you subtract 10 from the total. Example 8 and 4 = 2
Game Sequence
To play a game of baccarat all you need to do is decide where you
want to bet. This is either player, banker or tie. The dealer then
deals two cards to the player and two cards to the dealer at this
point the 3rd card rule is used to determine if more cards are dealt.
When the Player and Banker hands equal the same total, the hand
is declared a Tie. If the value of the cards in either the Player's
Hand or the Banker's Hand is an 8 or a 9 after receiving their initial
two cards then no more cards are dealt.
If the value of the cards in the Banker's hand on the first two
cards is 0 to 7 inclusive, the Player's hand shall draw in accordance
with the "Third Card Rules"
If the players hand equals 0 to 5 another card is dealt, if the
had equals 6 to 7 no additional card is dealt, if the hand equals
8 to 9 both hands stand.
Once the players hand is finished according to the above rules the
bankers hand is finalized. If the bankers hand equals 0 to 2 the
banker gets an additional card, if the bankers hand equals 3 to
6 the players third card determines the whether the banker draws
or stands and if the dealer has 7 the dealer stands.
When the bankers hand equals between 3 and 6
If the banker has 3 : Banker draws if player has 1 through 7 &
9
If the banker has 4 : Banker draws if player has 2,3,4,5,6 and 7
If the banker has 5 : Banker draws if player has 4,5,6 and 7
If the banker has 6 : Banker draws if player has 6 and 7
If the banker has 7 : Banker stands
If the banker has 8 or 9 : Banker stands
